Impressive hardwoods and carefully monitored food plots and crops provide the deer with ample nutrition and security cover; resulting in larger wild game. Peak season begins mid-November and runs through the end of the month. Quality deer management is enforced; engaging the hunter with an opportunity for a trophy buck. In the 2007/2008 season, a record non-typical buck was taken with a green score of 180 and a body weight of 275 lbs.
