Routier Outfitting

Overview

We offer rifle, black powder, archery and pistol hunts. Hunters have access to over 50,000 acres and we try to book one party at a time. The hunts are fully guided, plus you will know our boundaries and where the best hunting spots are. Our hunting strategies are spot and stalk, tree stands and waterhole blinds. Hunter can expect mature animals with mule deer scoring 150 inches, whitetail 130 inches, antelope 65, and buffalo 115 inches. These are average scores for both rifle and archery hunts. Local taxidermy and processing are available at your cost. We can also cape your trophy out and cut the meat off for you to put in coolers for you to take home.

Mule Deer Hunts

Routier Outfitting offers archery Mule deer hunts. This is primarily a spot and stalk hunt in pine tree covered hills, rolling sagebrush flats and brushy draws. We start early in the mornings and get to a good glassing spot to find the deer. This is a true boots on the ground stalking experience for trophy mule deer.

Whitetail Deer Hunts

Routier Outfitting offers both rifle and archery Whitetail deer hunts. This is primarily a spot and stalk hunt for rifle hunters while archery hunters use tree stands and blinds in pine tree covered hills, agricultural fields and food plots. These are actual food plots planted and fenced off and saved just for the deer. This lets us put tree stands and blinds along trails between the bedding areas and feeding areas. A typical Whitetail deer is going to score 130 in. with the top end being 150 in.

South Dakota Lodging

Unwind after a long day hunting in our newly remodeled ranch house. Our lodging is comfortable with everything a guy needs: running water and electricity, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Our delicious home-cooked meals will fill you up after a long days hunting. Occasionally we go out to a local restaurant for convenience and a change of pace. No matter where you eat while hunting with Routier Outfitting you won't go hungry.

About Us

Routier Outfitting is owned and operated by Ryan Routier with the help of his older brother Randy. Routier Outfitting was started over 30 years ago by their mom Laurie. Raising three young boys while running a ranch any additional income was welcome. At first, it might have just been a day hunt to go hunt some antelope but Routier Outfitting just kept growing and growing.
