Eastern North Carolina Hunting and Shooting at its Finest. Shelter Creek Plantation is a 350-acre controlled hunting preserve in rural Pender County located between Burgaw and Jacksonville, North Carolina.. Many of our members enjoy the club because we are a short drive from Wilmington, North Carolina. The property is uniquely situated between two major Federal Game Lands; Holly Shelter which occupies approximately 75,000 acres and Angola Bay, currently comprised of 33,000 acres.
