The building has a roof covering 9375 square feet and is climate controlled year round with everything it takes to please a hunter after a day of hunting in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas. There are six deer stands and food plots with corn feeders available to attract deer throughout the hunting season. Also, there is a five acre stocked lake with plenty of catfish and perch for that enthusiastic fisherman. The ranch also offers a beautiful scenic view from Gray Mountain (located on the ranch) and is supposedly the highest peak in Cherokee County.

Welcome to The 4 Robertson Ranch, a premier hunting destination in Jacksboro, Texas. The 4 Robertson Ranch is 1100 acres of woods, springs, rock cliffs and over a mile of the West Fork Trinity River dedicated to hunting and fishing. We offer a number of species for your pleasure such as Aoudad, Axis, Blackbuck, Dove, Duck, Gemsbok, Mouflon, Turkey, Whitetail and Wild Hog.

On Day 1, you will arrive at the 74 Ranch for lunch and get settled into your private room. Your guide will then escort you to the rifle range to check your rifle. (It is always best to arrive sighted in, in case the weather is too wet or windy to do so. A 30-caliber and up is recommended for South Texas deer). After your trip to the rifle range, you will be ready to hunt until dark.

We have selected the best whitetail genetics in Texas to build our herd. Our Gulf Coast of Texas hunting ranch is one of the largest intensively managed ranches in Wharton County. We started with a good foundation and over the years have maintained the same management standards to produce a superior whitetail herd.

We are offer a very high quality hunt on a private ranch in Texas. The hunt area is about 90 minutes east of Lubbock. This ranch has received very limited hunting over the last 10 years and has developed to the point that we can offer a highly successful hunt for mature bucks. These are low fence free ranging deer. The uniqueness of this property allows us to offer a quality hunting experience. Expect to have the opportunity to harvest mature bucks in the 140-160 class with the potential to take bucks into the 170 class. We only take 4 hunters per year and we have had 100% success usually on the 1st day. The hunts will be conducted as two 3 1/2 day fully outfitted hunts with 2 hunters per hunt, or if a group of 4 wants to book we may consider doing one 5 1/2 day hunt. Hunts will take place from November to late dec. We have multiple stands and feeders in place that will receive no hunting pressure prior to the first hunters arriving. In addition to the stands we will also glass and stalk, and rattling can be productive in this area as the buck to doe ratio is nearly 1 to 1. If desired, you also can harvest 1 doe and we do see feral hogs on occasion. You will stay in very comfortable accommodations. Included in the hunt will be all meals, guiding, meat and trophy preparation. We can also assist in getting your meat and trophy to a qualified butcher and taxidermist if desired. You will not be disappointed with this hunt.

Since 2006, Family Owned Burks Whitetails has been specializing in Texas high fence trophy game. There are no trophy fees or per-pound charges. Our trophy bucks typically range between 140" and 170". As an added bonus and at no additional cost, after you harvest your buck, you are free to take as many wild hogs as you can. Texas is well-known for its wild hog populations so if they come into the feeder setups, put some down!
