Georgia Deer Hunting

We have over 1,200 acres of pristine hunting property, with over 700 acres solely devoted to deer and turkey. We have a 6 bedroom lodge capable of sleeping 16 and also overlooks a 5 acre lake.

We offer two and three day packages on our deer hunts. In Archery, Primitive Weapons and Rifle. All hunts include lodging, meals, professional guides and transportation to and from stands. Mornings start with a continental breakfast before sunrise and transportation to your stand. At which you can decide if you would like to be picked-up for lunch or stay in your stand. After dark you will be picked-up and taken back to the lodge for a home made southern supper. If you have a deer down, we will pick it up or assist you in finding it. We have several game processing options.

With over 2000 acres and 20 years of quality management, deer hunting at Black Creek Plantation offers the opportunity to harvest the buck of a lifetime. The average buck will gross more than 120 B&C points with our largest buck to date grossing over 155 B&C.

Buckeye Plantation has an ideal mix of hardwood forest, field and swamp that make excellent Whitetail Deer habitat. Over a score of blinds and tree stands are situated at various points around the property and overlook trails or food plots. Hunters are placed at blinds before dawn or during late afternoon and are retrieved, hopefully with game, two to three hours later.

Flat Creek Lodge specializes in traditional hunts for bob white quail and pheasants using retrievers and pointers. Our resident outfitter leads exciting hunts for our native wild turkeys. There are strategically placed tree stands for white tailed deer, specifically designed for safety, offer easy access and swivel seats. You may choose to board your own dog in our clean and conveniently located guest kennels. Experience the thrill of hunting wild boar in our 75-acre swamp and bottomland habitat.

Our Georgia Deer Hunting produces some of the state’s top trophy bucks. Our Georgia Deer hunt packages are 4 days in length and are semi guided. In some cases the hunter may want a full time guide and we can easily arrange this for you at the time of booking. All of our deer hunting packages include lodging in our award winning accommodations.

Georgia boasts some of the very best whitetail deer hunting around. Gum Log Plantation is ideally suited for the best deer hunting with acres of wooded areas, 75 acres of food plots, and over 40 stands. There is also over 700 acres of irrigated farmland in Telfair County on one of Gum Log’s tracts. Telfair County is home of the Georgia state record buck.

Hanging Rocks Plantation is located 5 miles north east of Millen, Georgia and has thousands of acres of Quality Deer Managed white tail deer. HRP has been a QDMA managed quality deer hunting club for the past sixteen years. We also have a dedicated wildlife biologist that is instrumental in the management of our deer herd.

Live Oak Plantation has registered an official Pope and Young kill scoring 137 7/8th inches, but there have been multiple bucks taken from the property that score greater than that mark. We encourage all methods of hunting including; primitive weapons and rifles. We require each hunter to have a Georgia Big Game hunting license. The Rut for deer tends to start around Thanksgiving, but is all depending on the 11th full moon.

The sportsman at Red Pebble Plantation knows what to expect as dawn breaks in the eastern sky. The knowledgeable and accommodating guides have strategically placed the hunter in the best position to harvest a white tail; taking into consideration wind, weather and deer movement. The wait begins… Red Pebble Plantation, legendary for its trophy deer, is respected for their wildlife rich environment. Impressive hardwoods and carefully monitored food plots and crops provide the deer with ample nutrition and security cover; resulting in larger wild game. Peak season begins mid-November and runs through the end of the month. Quality deer management is enforced; engaging the hunter with an opportunity for a trophy buck. In the 2007/2008 season, a record non-typical buck was taken with a green score of 180 and a body weight of 275 lbs.

Deer hunting at RoseAllen Plantation is offered through guided deer hunts, deer hunting memberships or exclusive QDM deer leases. Our resort offers some of the finest whitetail hunting in Georgia. We supplement feed our deer year round to maximize their overall health and growth potential. Our goal is to grow big mature bucks, so we ask that all bucks taken have at least a 15” spread and at least 4 points on one side. Whether you like to hunt from tree stands or blinds, our resort offers a comfortable setup with great viewing access to Georgia deer. We provide several different hunting environments from hunting over lush food plots to oak lined creek bottoms or thick brush.

Our management practices have produced quality trophy bucks within a large deer population. We feed our deer year round with high protein supplements and quality food plots. We provide a variety of deer hunting alternatives to fit the needs of our clientele. Whether you choose an experience which includes lodging and meals, or a day hunt for you and your child; the beauty of our forest, the abundance of our game, and the quality of our service will be an experience enjoyed by all. Moreover, probably the most desirable aspect of any Tussock Bay hunt is your exclusive access to the property and its activities. Arrangements can be made for one or two-day deer hunts. We are located in a Q.D.M. area. In addition, Wexford Farms is your contact for turkey, rabbit, hog, dove and duck hunts. Dates booked according to season and availability.

We have over 70 permanent deer stands located on 3000 acres, and typically have 6 to 10 hunters at a time although we can accomodate up to 18 hunters with lodging, so you have a wide variety of terrain to choose from. In fact, after you learn the place, your biggest problem will be deciding where to sit that day.

Most hunters would agree that a mature whitetail buck is one of the hardest trophy animals to harvest in North America.
