Our clients have had about 85% success and nearly 100% opportunity on our Nevada mule deer hunts for the past twelve years. We are licensed to guide mule deer hunters in Nevada statewide and have statewide special use permits through BLM and US Forest Service permits for the Austin Tonopah District. We thoroughly scout during the summer months in order to insure you have the best hunt possible.
We specialize in fully guided Trophy Idaho & Nevada Fairchase Mule Deer hunting. We horseback hunt from our Idaho high country tent hunting camps. Nevada hunts are from motel or camper, atv, vehicle and sometimes horses. Our Idaho camps are located in our state licensed Idaho National Forest outfitting area. This is some of the most rugged and remote country in the lower 48 states. As a result of this rugged country our mule deer grow to Trophy size and receive little to no hunting pressure. The country we hunt can only be accessed by horseback. We manage our hunting area's. We limit the number of deer hunters we take each season. Less hunters means more and bigger deer for you! We only harvest mature mule deer bucks scoring 160 class or bigger. As a result of this, all bucks we harvest will make the SCI record book.
Rifle, Archery & Muzzleloader hunting for Mule Deer in hunt units 072 & 074. Spike camps in Jarbidge Wilderness. Dates vary with hunting seasons. Use Cottonwood as your base camp. Stay in our beautiful lodge or bring your trailer & stay in our full service RV Park. You can even dry camp & still enjoy our delicious meals & hospitality along with our restroom & shower facilities. We can offer pack horses & game retrieval services, as well as cold storage, tire repair service & basic supply store.
Our Premium High Country pack-in Mule Deer Hunts are second to none. We have good numers of adult aged bucks measuring 20" to 26" wide and scoring average around 160 B&C points. We take a few bucks every year considerably bigger, measuring 27" to 34" wide and scoring 180 to 210 B&C points, with our best being 241 in the past 10 years. The older these bucks get the tougher they are to harvest. They are a great challenge. If your up to it so are we.

Sage-n-Pine's operation takes you into the heart of the Toiyabe-Humboldt National Forest of the Toiyabe, Toquima, Monitor and Shell Creek Mt. Ranges. Operation is under the authorization of Special-Use-Permit through USFS, Austin/Tonopah and Ely Ranger District, and BLM Statewide. These Central and Eastern Mountain Ranges offer some of Nevada's most beautiful and scenic terrain. Streams and pristine meadows skirted with lush riparian habitat. Much of the ranges are covered with juniper, pinyon, mountain mahogany, and sagebrush. You will find limber pine located on a few of the north slopes and ridges.
