North Dakota Deer Hunting
Directory of 20 North Dakota Deer hunting lodges, guides and outfitters in North Dakota.
Established in 2003, we are a small family run hunting lodge located along the Sheyenne River & Baldhill Creek Valleys of Mid Eastern, North Dakota. With a newly constructed lodge we offer privacy, tranquility and peace on the prairies of rural North Dakota.
The pheasants, grouse, partridge, Canadian geese, ducks, Sandhill cranes and deer loved our 4,000+ contiguous acre farm and cattle ranch so much we converted it into a hunting lodge. With large shelter belts, tree rows, large ponds, 5 miles of winding streams, excellent game management and acres of CRP land, our facility has all of the best hunting North Dakota has to offer, and more. Our hunters also have access to about 3,000+ acres of prime hunting land located about 30 minutes from the lodge. We are conveniently located approximately 60 miles southeast of Bismarck, North Dakota and only about 30 miles off Interstate 94.
Located in southwestern North Dakota along the South Dakota border, this 8300-acre ranch with 2 major rivers and several creeks is where you will want to have your hunting adventure. Never before opened up for outside hunting, this area includes rivers, valleys, buttes and deep canyons. It is prime habitat for deer (both whitetail and mule deer), coyotes, prairie dogs, sharptail grouse, pheasants, mourning doves, and turkeys. An experience you won't forget.
We have strong populations of wild mule and whitetails for hunting. Hunters are responsible for obtaining licenses before arrival at the ranch. We also offer game processing on site. Please contact us for information. Follow in Teddy Roosevelt’s tracks as you ride the Maah Daah Hey Trail and the new Buffalo Gap Trail. Bring your favorite horse, mountain bike or hiking boots to ride or walk these rugged, beautiful and silent Badlands. Get up close and personal with some of the most spectacular scenery in the west.
We encourage any potential hunters to apply for their licenses through the ND Game and Fish Department ( http://gf.nd.gov/). We have limited guides available to guide hunters who have secured their licenses for the 2015 season, so contact us immediately if you are interested in this option.

The private lands under our control are managed for exclusive access bowhunting only. This management philosophy has been in place for 27 years, which accounts for the abundance of wildlife and trophy potential to be found here at the ranch. The hunt is based on 4,500 acres of private property and on parcels of U.S. Forest Service land in the area. Typically our bowhunts for Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer are 6 days, semi-guided, and hunters bring their own equipment and provisions. The habitat is high quality, western, and varies from sage brush-covered grasslands to rugged juniper cedar Badlands to the Ponderosa Pine forest and to creek and river bottoms.
Mouse River Outfitters also offers hunts for Deer. Big game hunters will be placed in pre-scouted tree stands or ground blinds based on the needs of the hunter or the animal being hunted. Hunters will generally be dropped off before daylight and picked up at a predesignated time. Enjoy a hot breakfast before you go and come back for lunch. You can also choose to have a lunch packed that you can eat in your stand if you prefer to stay out all day.

The Bison Ranch features thousands of acres of rolling virgin prairie which meets farmland where row crops and small grains flourish. This diversity of habitat is where whitetail deer thrive. Due to certain restrictions on non-resident hunting in North Dakota, it is somewhat difficult to get a rifle tag for whitetail bucks. These tags are drawn by lottery. Applications become available during May on the North Dakota Game & Fish website, the deadline is in early June, and the lotteries are held in July and August. Denied applicants receive preference points for subsequent lotteries. However, archery deer tags are readily available over the counter. Although trees are few and far between in this country, we have several deer stands on private shelterbelts and draws where some nice deer have been harvested.
Quality wildlife management and superior habitat provide outstanding potential in "The Outback of America" for bow hunters. Hunting the coulees which make up the valley of the Little Knife River on the TTT Ranch will challenge and delight you.
